PO asks KWAN if he has been carrying on an affair with JANET and KWAN confesses. KWAN is about to kill PO but changes his mind within just a few seconds. He decides to keep PO’s life so that he can make use of him and get him to initiate contact with the munitions dealer LIN MAU LAM. Having lost everything, PO is so hopeless and tries to take his life by jumping in the sea. PO is rescued and later diagnosed as having panic disorder. KWAN does not believe it and even starts to spy on him. YAM has been seeing SIN on and off although they know they are not the one for each other. KWAN forces PO to meet LAM.
