1993: Athena is getting ready for an audition. However, she feels pretty insecure about her acting. Gregory tries to coach her and make her more confident about her acting. After they rehearse and Gregory talks to her, she feels like she would be perfect playing Cora in ""The Iceman Cometh."" When Athena gets to the audition, she realizes that she's not auditioning for the role of Cora, but for the role of Maggie. She is not prepared for the new role at all. The director, Randy Gendel, leaves Athena feeling worthless. Gregory talks to Athena yet again and makes her feel like she should ask for a second chance. When she does get a second chance, it's not clear how far she'll have to go in order to win the role.
