The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour is an American variety show starring American pop-singer Cher and her husband, Sonny Bono. The show ran on CBS in the United States, when it premiered in August 1971. The show was canceled May 1974, due to the couple's divorce, though the duo would reunite in 1976 for the identically-formatted The Sonny & Cher Show, which ran until 1977.

Overview

1. Sonny and Cher open the show with ""Jackson"" and banter about how Sonny believes he has been blessed with good luck. 2. Mike offers a confusing explanation of the government's rapid transit system. 3. Sonny and Cher perform ""Rockin' Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu"" 4. ""Sonny and Cher At the White House"" -- Mike joins the Bonos in a musical production about a new, fresh candidate for the Senate (Sonny) who marries a chic women's lib reporter (Cher) and their rise to the Presidency. 5. ""Mr. and Ms."" -- Househusband Sonny goes into a jealous rage when Cher comes home late from the office. 6. Cher sings ""Bridge Over Troubled Water"" 7.
