Overview
In this Flemish detective series, the Dutch title of which means in the act, notably "in flagrante delicto", a team of the Belgian (national) police lead by John Nauwelaerts investigates serious crimes, often against the clock as victims sometimes may still be in danger. Special attention is also given to the legally necessary, but sometimes frustrating, interaction with the judicial authorities, other police forces (this inefficiency required a major reform in reality), various experts and lawyers.

Overview
All of rural Dworp is upset to hear blue collar Raf Cauwenberghs's soccer-gifted son Kevin (11) went missing during a late wood run after group practice with coach Roger Poelaert. As if the locals' hostility against 'impertinent, lazy' federal cops weren't bad enough, the three involved police departments bicker amongst themselves. The captain puts John in charge as he wife is about to give birth. The team discovers the coach's adolescent son Patrick deals in stolen motorbikes. Gay teacher Peter Fonteyne tutored Kevin, according to unsubstantiated rumors with pedophile abuse. the crowd turns on him when Kevin's corps is found by his uncle-godfather Maurice Cauwenberghs in the part of the wood indicated by a 'medium'.
