Malibu, CA is an American teen sitcom television program produced by Saved by the Bell creator Peter Engel that aired from 1998 to 2000 on syndication. Co-created by Engel and Carl Kurlander, the show centred around the lives of twin brothers Scott and Jason Collins, who move to Malibu, California from New York City to live with their father, Peter. Guest appearances on the show included Dennis Haskins, Scott Whyte and Marissa Dyan from City Guys, Daniella Deutscher from Hang Time, and model Victoria Silvstedt. The series was one of two post-Saved by the Bell: The College Years series executive produced by Peter Engel that did not air on NBC's TNBC lineup, USA High being the other. Prior to the 2012 premiere of The First Family, Malibu, CA was the last situation comedy to be broadcast for the first-run syndication market.

Overview

Scott is surprised to find that Jason is smoking again after supposedly giving it up months ago. The boys are happy when their dad brings home their favorite uncle, Charlie, who is in town on military business. After Peter catches his son smoking on the beach, he asks Charlie to speak to Jason about it. Charlie is reluctant, because he's still a smoker himself. Peter, Scott and Murray try to help the pair break the habit, but nothing works and they both continue to sneak around smoking. Meanwhile, Lisa is scheduled to review a production of Romeo and Juliet for the school newspaper. Traycee not only has the lead, she helps to write the play as ""Romee-yo and Lil' Juliet."" Lisa and Alex see the production and it is awful. Lisa has a hard time writing a bad review of her roommate's performance, but Alex encourages her to be honest. Traycee finds that approach hard to take when she reads Lisa's brutal review. When Peter catches Charlie smoking once again, he tells him that even if he's not
