Looking Back in Anger was a 1989 Hong Kong TV series and one of the most watched TVB series by Chinese people in Hong Kong and around the world. Many factors contributed to the success of this series. As well as its tragic but memorable storyline, this series featured a strong cast, with Felix Wong, Deric Wan, Carina Lau, Kathy Chow Hoi-Mei and Maggie Shiu. The popular theme song of the series "Yat sang ho kau" was sung by Danny Chan and later by Deric Wan himself.

Overview
Depressed, Mei Yan becomes alcoholic, but gives the booze up finally on the advice of Sai Bond to attend to her unborn child. Yau Hong has nothing going for him after leaving the company, and decides to regain his power-within the company through his unborn child. Unmoved, Mei Yan asks Yau Hong to file for separation. At Yiu Ming’s office, Yau Hong tries again to convince Mei Yan. Failing that, he blames what has happened on Mei Yan. At “Sun Kwan Kin”, Ngai Kwa finds that both Cho Kwan and Kin are very dedicated to the business, and is very pleased. Ngai Kwa finds that Wai Lung did not manage "Kwan Kin" well after taking over, and business is poor. He immediately terminates his guarantor relationship with Kwan Kin, which throws Wai Lung into economic hardship. Wai Lung decides to sell at a low price to Kin, who agrees despite what Wai Lung has done to him……
