Kin feels that he is now capable of supporting a family financially, and proposes to marry Cho Kwan. Ngai Kwai agrees happily. Kin does not see Lee Wah off and feels rather unsettled. He feels more so when he learns that her plane crashes. Kin finds out that Lee Wah has been sent to the emergency section of a local hospital, and is still alive. He hurries over to visit Lee Wah, which makes Cho Kwan envious. On the way, Kin receives from the airline a letter from Lee Wah written before the crash, which expresses her fondness for Kin. Kin is saddened. On arriving at the hospital at Kuala Lumpur, Kin discovers that Lee Wah has had a severe shock, and is in a coma. Kin whispers recounts of their times together in her ears in an effort to make her regain consciousness. ln order to raise capital for a restaurant which Hong has shares in, he sells a big portion of Kai Mei’s shares, which upsets the unit share price.
