Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani... Jhansi Ki Rani is an Indian historical drama based on the life of Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi, one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The series was directed by Jitendra Srivastava and written by Rajesh Saksham, Ila Dutta Bedi, Malavika Asthana and Mairaj Zaidi. It premiered on 18 August 2009 on Zee TV with Ulka Gupta playing Queen Lakshmi Bai. On 8 June 2010 the story moved on several years and Kratika Sengar portrayed the Queen from there on. The show's last episode went to air on 19 June 2011.

Overview
Motibai is hanged to death. Manu comes back to reality with a jolt. She keeps the sword back near the deity and says that she will find another way to punish Motibai but would never take her life. Samar Singh lures a jail guard with hidden treasure and seeks his help in escaping from prison. Fraser tests Lachos archery skills and warns her that if she fails to kill the king and gets caught, then she would stand to lose her son. Samar Singh dressed as an English officer overhears this. Moropant refuses to let Manu watch the play, so she gets very worried. Jankibai and Indu are given flowers to be showered on Motibai and Gangadhar at the end of the play but they are not pleased about it. Sakaram comes to Jhansi and gives Moropant the gifts sent by Bajirao. Meanwhile, Lacho conceals the poisonous arrow in a musical instrument. The play begins and the entire hall is packed with court officials. Motibai vows that only she will be Gangadhars wife and the Queen of Jhansi.
