Overview

Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani... Jhansi Ki Rani is an Indian historical drama based on the life of Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi, one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The series was directed by Jitendra Srivastava and written by Rajesh Saksham, Ila Dutta Bedi, Malavika Asthana and Mairaj Zaidi. It premiered on 18 August 2009 on Zee TV with Ulka Gupta playing Queen Lakshmi Bai. On 8 June 2010 the story moved on several years and Kratika Sengar portrayed the Queen from there on. The show's last episode went to air on 19 June 2011.

Overview

Gangadhar tells Laxmibai, that if ever she did not tell him the whole truth, he will consider it as betrayal. She asks Gangadhar permission to meet Samar Singh. Marshall decides to free Samar Singh from Gangadhars jail and blame it on Kranti Guru. Laxmibai meets Samar Singh and tells him not to give up so easily. Laxmibai tells Samar that she will never let him or Gangadhar down. Gangadhar is shocked to know that there was an explosion in his jail and that Samar Singh has escaped. He is very angry to know that Kranti Guru has claimed the responsibility of the explosion. Laxmibai is stunned when Gangadhar tells her that Kranti Guru has helped Samar Singh escape. Laxmibai visits the jail and is moved to see so many dead prisoners and soldiers. She also finds a British badge which was deliberately planted by Marshall. Laxmibai vows to teach Marshall a lesson. Kranti Guru sends a letter to Gangadhar that she will be present in the court, provided Marshall is present too.
