Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani... Jhansi Ki Rani is an Indian historical drama based on the life of Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi, one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The series was directed by Jitendra Srivastava and written by Rajesh Saksham, Ila Dutta Bedi, Malavika Asthana and Mairaj Zaidi. It premiered on 18 August 2009 on Zee TV with Ulka Gupta playing Queen Lakshmi Bai. On 8 June 2010 the story moved on several years and Kratika Sengar portrayed the Queen from there on. The show's last episode went to air on 19 June 2011.

Overview
Marshall kills his soldier who had betrayed him in Gangadhar's court and vows to find Kranti Guru. Marshalls men dress as civilians to trace her. Motibai apologises to Laxmibai for getting Jhalkari to the palace. However, she says that her intentions were noble. Motibai had come to Jhalakri's house and requested her father to allow Jhalkari to impersonate the Queen of Jhansi for a while. Lacho and her son who were hiding had later threatened Jhalkari to be the queen if she wanted to protect her family. Shivram invites Gangadhar and Aaishri for his daughter Chimnabais wedding with Moropant. Tatya Guru threatens Jhalkari to reveal the name of the person at whose behest she was continuing with the act, but Aaishri walks in just then. Later, when Aaishri sees Motibai in the palace, she reminds Motibai that courtesans are not allowed in the palace.
