Marshall alerts his men dressed as civilians to keep a watch for Kranti Guru. Marshall spots Motibai with a girl and realises that she must be the Queen of Jhansi, so he chases them. Marshall and his men surround them but when he unveils the girls face, he sees that it isnt the queen. Meanwhile, at the religious ceremony, Jhalkari is asked to bring the offerings for the king. Jhalkari suggests to the king to ask the elders Sakhubai and Jankibai to make the offerings first so that the family is blessed. Sakhubai realises that the girl is Laxmibai, not Jhalkari. But the shrewd Sakhubai suggests that Aaishri is the eldest and most respected member of the family, so she must make the offerings. Aaishri agrees. A worried Laxmibai then takes a knife from nearby and holds it near the king. Aaishri sees this and is shocked.
