Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani... Jhansi Ki Rani is an Indian historical drama based on the life of Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi, one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The series was directed by Jitendra Srivastava and written by Rajesh Saksham, Ila Dutta Bedi, Malavika Asthana and Mairaj Zaidi. It premiered on 18 August 2009 on Zee TV with Ulka Gupta playing Queen Lakshmi Bai. On 8 June 2010 the story moved on several years and Kratika Sengar portrayed the Queen from there on. The show's last episode went to air on 19 June 2011.

Overview
Laxmibai (Kranti Guru) continues with her nonstop efforts to fight against the British. The story takes a leap of a few years. Lord Dalhousie becomes the Governor General of India in 1848. He captures Satara and now intends to grab Jhansi. Karma wonders what connection Kranti Guru has with Gangadhar Rao. Spears informs Gangadhar Rao that the British treasury is going to be shifted from Jhansi to Gwalior for safety from dacoits. He asks Gangadhar to provide his soldiers, for escorting the treasure since the dacoits will not attack the soldiers of Jhansi. When Spears reveals that the leader of the dacoits is a woman, he guesses that the leader is Laxmibai. Gangadhar agrees to have security provided to the British provided they return the villages that they have captured. Spears agrees. Laxmibai and her group come to know about the transfer of the treasury. Gangadhar Rao hopes to meet Laxmibai soon.
