Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani... Jhansi Ki Rani is an Indian historical drama based on the life of Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi, one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The series was directed by Jitendra Srivastava and written by Rajesh Saksham, Ila Dutta Bedi, Malavika Asthana and Mairaj Zaidi. It premiered on 18 August 2009 on Zee TV with Ulka Gupta playing Queen Lakshmi Bai. On 8 June 2010 the story moved on several years and Kratika Sengar portrayed the Queen from there on. The show's last episode went to air on 19 June 2011.

Overview
Laxmibai is shocked to know that Samar's execution has been preponed. Nelson shrugs off when he learns that the stay order has been passed. Laxmibai screams out Samar's name. Samar hears her voice and talks to her across the wall which separates them. Samar tells Laxmibai to rejoice on his death and to use his death as the first step towards kicking out the British battalion. Samar thanks her for showing her the true path. Laxmibai speaks to the people of Jhansi gathered outside the prison. She inspires the people to revolt against the British. Nelson asks Samar his last wish. Samar tells him that all the Indians will fulfill his last wish by kicking out the British from India. The people of Jhansi take to the streets in protest against the British. The British battalion is forced to flee when they see the horde of people attacking them. Samar is hanged.
