Ek Veer Stree Ki Kahaani... Jhansi Ki Rani is an Indian historical drama based on the life of Lakshmi Bai, the Rani of Jhansi, one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The series was directed by Jitendra Srivastava and written by Rajesh Saksham, Ila Dutta Bedi, Malavika Asthana and Mairaj Zaidi. It premiered on 18 August 2009 on Zee TV with Ulka Gupta playing Queen Lakshmi Bai. On 8 June 2010 the story moved on several years and Kratika Sengar portrayed the Queen from there on. The show's last episode went to air on 19 June 2011.

Overview
Gangadhar remembers how he had become angry on Laxmibai when she had lost their child. He goes to speak to Laxmibai but does not find her. Laxmibai is at the crematorium sitting besides the ashes of Samar Singh. Ellis comes there and picks a handful of the ashes. Laxmibai is surprised to hear the British man pray in Sanskrit. Ellis tells her that he had come to pay his respects and goes away. Gangadhar is worried as Laxmibai cannot be found anywhere. Ellis reads out the order from Fort Williams that Gangadhar still holds all the administrative powers. Gangadhar is pleased and gives all the credit to his queen, Rani Laxmibai. Gangadhar finds Laxmibai in a temple. He begs Laxmibai to return to the palace and take part in the celebrations at the palace. He asks her if she does not want to meet the bride. Laxmibai agrees to come to the palace. Laxmibai is in tears when she sees the bride. Gangadhar asks her if she agrees to the marriage.
