Dr Pay is just an ordinary psychiatrist who can tell a loony from a mile off. So when he meets the elegant and refined Mrs Imelda Mounthaven, a woman in his care, he is alarmed to find that she really isn’t mad at all. He is so convinced of the truth of her story of wrongful incarceration by her cruel husband, that he is prepared to lay his job on the line and help get her out.
