WAN realizes her domineering ways when juxtaposed with LAM’s tenderness toward KOK. The following day, LAM is busy making dim sums for KOK, but KOK shrugs at her reminder of their rendezvous once a year. A rich man from the city, also named FONG, casts his eyes on FONG and desires to marry her. WAN solicits KOK’s help on her behalf. KOK and other sheriffs press charge against FONG for forcing a man into marriage. Only when MR. FONG reveals his official gown and hat that KOK knows that the man is really MINISTER FONG, vice-president of the Eastern Factory. KOK tells WAN and FONG that he can do nothing to stop the minister. The two women storm out……
