In 1986, the Mai Hom house was built for a newly married couple, Panutat and Maen Mat, who were getting married soon. A terrible and unexpected event happened on the wedding night. Maen Mat was mysteriously found dead in the lotus pond beside the Mai Hom house. A death note was found on the bed in the wedding bedroom with one word “Goodbye”. No one knew the reason why or how Maen Mat died. Was she murdered or did she commit suicide by jumping out of the window? The beautiful wedding ceremony was changed to be funeral.
