Overview

The Criminal Investigator II is a 1996 Hong Kong police procedural television drama. Produced by Jonathan Chik and edited by Chow Yuk-ming and Chiu Ching-yung, the drama is a TVB production and the direct sequel to 1995's The Criminal Investigator. The story follows a team of investigators from the Organized Crime and Triad Bureau unit of the Royal Hong Kong Police Force.

Overview

A site worker discovers a skull. The coroner proves that skull belonged to a middle-age woman. The police believes that WING is related. They then fax a photo with an eight years old girl to WAI for investigation. The F.B.I. complains CHUNG. CHUNG is forced to stop investigation. However, CHUNG ignores this order. He applies for annual leave and flies to Toronto. He continues to investigate. The reporter finds out that WING got married in 1978 with a woman named, NGOR. They have a daughter, PING, who is now eight years old. WING sends subordinate to assault the reporter. CHUNG meets PING and KEE. They are reluctant to reveal their identities. Meanwhile, A appears. A shoots PING to death. Soon the immigration department finds out that KEE is actually PING. PING is sent back to Hong Kong to testify at court. CHUNG stayed in Canada as his wife died in a car accident. He backs to Hong Kong after he finished her funeral rites.
