Typisk norsk is a news and magazine program about language and communication produced by Dropout Productions and Rubicon TV for NRK. Three seasons of the program have been produced. The concept is inspired by the SVT-produced series Värsta språket with Fredrik Lindström as the host. Petter Schjerven is the host of Typisk norsk. Among other things, the program covers interesting topics in language and communication. It also deals with language enthusiasts and researchers and discusses problems with the Norwegian language.

Overview
Petter forsøker å finne det typisk norske ved språket vårt. Sammen med språkentusiasten Arne Torp reiser han tilbake til røttene våre, og på Island tar de et forblåst farvel med norrønt språk. Vel hjemme igjen står språkstrid på plakaten. Kommer det noe godt ut av kampen mellom nynorsk og bokmål? Ane Dahl Torp viser glimt fra sin nye dokumentarfilm, "Alt om min pappa", en opprivende film om det å vokse opp med en far som er språkforsker.
