Overview

Career woman KAN YIK-PO (Sheung Tin Ngor) turns housewife unwillingly with the sudden resignation of her domestic helper. Being the only breadwinner in the family and faced with a restructuring at work, her husband, SUEN KA-ON (Cheung Siu Fai), finds himself on the verge of a mid-life crisis. PO’s younger sister, KAN YIK-TAN (Joyce Tang), is a devil-may-care woman. The fact that she has recently broken up with her boyfriend does not discourage her from starting another relationship. Quite the contrary, she marries Malaysian Chinese NG LOK-YAN (Hanjin Tan), a guy she merely knows about, and takes him back to Hong Kong. Overview

PO asks HUNG to teach her how to make fried glutinous rice. HUNG finds the quality of her material not good. HUNG tells KUEN to throw away YAN’s stuff but TAN opposes doing so. She also tells TAN not to wait for YAN anymore. Indeed, as PO points out, HUNG has quite a few suitors. FONG suspects HUNG is still waiting for her husband. PO, however, does not think so, as HUNG still hates her father bitterly. A client of TAN cancel their appointments at the last minute. Meanwhile, someone has sent her a text message, which says “I will be back”. She is pleased, believing it must have been from YAN. HUNG sits staring at a pocket watch as if in a trance. TAN asks her whether she is thinking of her husband. She denies. TAN takes HUNG to the restaurant her family used to go frequently in the past, where she can ask about the news of her father. HUNG, however, tells her the pocket watch actually belongs…
