Kaoruko Hanayagi is altogether unimpressed with their performance, recognizing Tamao Tomoe from their Japanese dance lessons together in Kyoto. Tamao attempts to show her opponents her team's determination by summarizing it in a single Japanese character; however, she writes the incorrect kanji and becomes too embarrassed to carry on.
