Dreaming of a Better Place

Nestled deep within British Columbia, the Gostlin family finds solace in the spirit of the mountains and culture of powder skiing, after an unexpected tragedy changes the family's dream forever. "Dreaming of a Better Place" tells a heartfelt winter tale nestled deep within the Monashee Mountains of British Columbia. The short film is directed by 24-year-old Cannes YDA nominee Cameron Thuman, with a sensational soundtrack recorded in Berlin's Funkhaus Cathedral by Liam Mour and co-stars Canadian professional skier Mark Abma. "Dreaming of a Better Place" received a sold-out worldwide premiere at the Canadian Screen Award Qualifying Whistler Film Festival and has additional festival play scheduled throughout 2023 spanning America, Canada, and Europe, including a Director's Choice Award and Academy Award Qualifying selections.
