Ukrainian Baroque

The amazing, exquisite Baroque style came to Ukraine in the mid-17th century, during the era of liberation wars and the awakening of national consciousness. Ukraine gave the world its own version of Baroque, enriching it with traditions of folk art and architecture. The film shows only the Kyiv style of Ukrainian Baroque, preserved and destroyed architectural masterpieces. Among them are the creations of Rastrelli and Grigorovich-Barsky.
