Mikhail Demetrov, a promising young lawyer, is preparing for his wedding to his boss's daughter. But everything is canceled when he meets Diana, his first love. Diana is a gypsy, but Mikhail, it turns out, is also a gypsy. As teenagers, they, a gypsy Romeo and Juliet, fell in love against their families' wishes and decided to escape the camp together.
