Overview

Spejbl craves a film career. He thus posts a newspaper ad, offering himself as an actor. As soon as he receives a response, he sends his son Hurvínek to the agent instead of himself. Hurvínek fears that his father is again looking for a wife. He is not as representative as Spejbl would wish, and he puts the agent off. Spejbl is first angry with his son, but then hears on the radio that the agent in question was an experienced swindler, and is glad that Hurvínek in fact saved him. The Bulletin of the Czech Ministry of Interior lists the film in the section “For adults only. Forbidden for children and adolescents under the age of sixteen (comedies)”.
